One afternoon they and our Students International doctors visited the public hospital here in Jarabacoa.
One of the patients at the hospital was a little baby girl suffering from bronchial pneumonia. The baby's condition was critical, but because of a lack of medical equipment and due to hospital politics, she wasn't receiving the treatment she needed. The Sines realized that if this baby didn't get attention, she would die within the next twenty-four hours. Providentially, Dave and Kealani had brought with them antibiotics and a nebulizer, supplies needed to treat the baby. Our doctors worked with the hospital administration and were finally given permission to have the Sines begin treatment. Within hours, the baby began to improve and several days later was released. We thank God for the Sines. Through their compassion and availability, a life was preserved.

Praise God! I have goosebumps and tears in my eyes as I read of how great our God is!! It is amazing how the work of Lord is displayed in such amazing ways, to Him be the glory! I will be praying for this little life, follow-up care and for Alba to continue to be a shining light to public hospital. Thanks for sharing this amazing story Nate-dawg and Mags! I love you guys.
