Gifts of Love

Again this year, Christmas parties are being planned for the Students International agriculture, social work, education, special education, and sports ministries. At the parties, each person will be given a special Christmas gift. For example, adolescent boys at the sports ministry will receive a bar of soap, a tooth brush, a baseball, a sports poster, a pair of socks, and a small bag of candy. Children at the schools may be given a stuffed toy, bag of marbles or a jump rope, match box car or hair ribbon, and candy. Several pieces of gospel literature with content corresponding to the age of the recipient will be included in each gift bag. For many it may be the only gift they will receive this Christmas.


This project is made possible by donations of small toys and gift items brought to the D.R. by outreach teams. As the donations arrive, Maggie carefully categorizes them and stores them in preparation for Christmas.


This past week, Maggie, Andrea, and Chastity put together gift bags for the 210 women and children who will be attending this year's Christmas parties. Pray for God's work of grace in their lives as they recieve these gifts of love. Pray that they might understand and recieve the greatest gift, salvation through Jesus.
