Dominoes

Last night some of the young fellows who are working with our construction ministry showed up at our house to play dominoes. Jose and Brian, the staff who lead the construction ministry came with their families as well. Most of the young men have just recently come to faith and are being discipled by Jose and Brian.

Playing dominoes is serious business in the Dominican Republic. There is calculated strategy and intense competiton involved. Nate is learning to play, but has yet to completely understand the strategy.

We love it when our friends want to come and hang out at our house.

What do you think about this hanger of bananas? We harvested it from one of the banana plants in our yard. The bananas are harvested green, so they don't grow too large and split. This particular hanger has 147 bananas on it.

Nate might not have a good strategy for the game, but him and Christian never lost a game!!
