Stephen and Lindsi

Our daughter Lindsi has announced her engagement to Stephen Richardson. They met at Liberty University where Lindsi is studying nursing and Stephen is completing his seminary studies. They will be getting married on December 19 in Midland, Texas which is Stephen's home town.

Lindsi is spending the summer in Texas with Stephen's family. This gives her the opportunity to work on wedding plans before starting the fall semester at Liberty.

Stephen's a good man. He has a solid faith, a heart for ministry, and is a man of character. We enjoyed getting to know him better this past December when he and Lindsi came to the Dominican Republic for a visit.

As we think about our first child getting married, Maggie and I experience a mix of emotions. It's a mix of being very happy for Stephen and Lindsi, of realizing that we're entering the next phase of our lives (basically we're not thirty any more), of anticipation for what God will do in and through the next generation, a gratefulness for how God has been faithful to our children, and an excitement about the possibility of being grandparents some day.
