Blog Resurrected

The Slabach Family blog has been dead in the water for nearly three months. During that time we spent six weeks in the States and since returning to the D.R have been running to catch up on responsibilities left unattended during our absence. But today, our blog is being resurrected. We will once again be posting regularly.
We will begin by sharing photo highlights of our trip which included traveling to Indiana, Colorado, Georgia, and Michigan - nearly six thousand road miles in all. We had a wonderful time connecting with friends, family, and our home church. We arrived in Chicago and were met with weather quite different than in the D.R. While in Chicago we were able to spend time with the Lanier family and with Roger and Janette Simons. Andrea is interested in studying at Indiana Wesleyan University. We were able to visit the campus and were blessed to have Tyler Shirley as our tour guide. Tyler has been on outreaches with Students International and will be serving as an intern with us this summer.
Ryan and Ethan came from California, Lindsi from Virginia, and the Slabach family was once again reunited. In Colorado, Nate got to spend time with his dad and three of his sisters. We celebrated Christmas with Maggie's family in Georgia. Games, fellowship, and food - what a great time! Maggie with her mother, brother, and two sisters. We traveled to Michigan for New Years and enjoyed being with Nate's mom and two of his sisters. Andrea, Lindsi, and Chastity got to do Michigan snowmobiling with their cousins.
Thank you to all of our friends, relatives, and church family. Thank you for welcoming us and for taking time out of your busy schedules to spend with us. We had a wonderful time!
