Nate's sister, Vonda, and her family came to visit us for ten days in February. Ray and Vonda and their children live in Colorado Springs. It was a great time of ministry, fellowship, and experiencing the D.R. together.
Ray, a professional painter for many years, helped Nate spray paint the steel ceiling of the first floor of the new Students International ministry center.
Nate's nephew, Ross, assisted at the S.I. sports ministry where we mentor and disciple adolescent and teenage boys.
Nate's niece, Carmen, has artist giftings. Being at the S.I. Art School during her time in the D.R. allowed her to combine her love for art with ministry.
Carmen's friend, Destinee, prepares an injection. She dreams of being a medical missionary. She was able to get a realistic idea of what it's like to be a medical missionary as she spent time at the S.I. medical ministry. She even had the opportunity to witness three surgeries!
A day trip to the beach on the north coast provided a break from ministry and hard work.
