Staff Retreat 2007

On April 20-22 we once again hosted our annual staff retreat. Our desire as we began planning the event, was that the staff would be refreshed and nourished in the Lord. As we began to pray, we felt directed to invite Wayne Crabtree from California to be our speaker. We also invited Joel Montalvo from the capital to lead us in our times of worship.

In the several weeks leading up to the retreat, we as staff began to call out to God, asking Him to fan the flames of revival in our hearts.
And God responded to the cry of our hearts.

As we worshipped and as Wayne ministered, God drew near. Through Wayne, He challenged us and invited us to deeper intimacy with Him. He also reminded us that He calls us to holiness - a holiness that is impossible for us to create. The key is His presence. As we live in his presence, he empowers us to be and do all that He calls us to be and do. "You can grow in holiness, because I (Jesus) in you am holy."

The presence of God was so real during our times of worship. He ministered to us - speaking to us about His love for us, giving some of us direction and encouragement in what he is calling us to do.
He poured life, healing, and grace into our hearts .

We were blessed as we saw each staff person be ministered to. We are newly energized as we begin our busy summer schedule. We pray that we will be able, in God's power, to ignite the 350 students who will be in our program this summer with the flame that we carry in our hearts.
